AMANDA'S STITCHED DREAMS'

   Amanda, beautiful and intelligent with an unimaginable inner strength, had always been fascinated by the beauty of fashion. As a child, she would sketch dresses on the corners of her school notebooks, her mind filled with dreams of becoming a renowned fashion designer, though she constantly receives discouragement from her schoolmates who mocked her sketches on her notebook but she had this passion for fashion that is too strong to be affected by mockery.

  However, being an only Child to a middle class couple, her parents being traditional and pragmatic, wanted her to pursue a career that is more 'sensible' to them. They wanted her to become a lawyer or a doctor.

 

Despite the pressure from her family, Amanda enrolled in a local fashion school. Every day, she traveled two hours to reach the school, her determination unwavering.

She excelled in her classes, her creativity and passion setting her apart from her peers. Yet, her parents remained unimpressed, viewing her pursuit as a mere hobby

 

  One sunny day as she was on her way home from school, a poster caught Amanda's eye. It was an announcement for a prestigious fashion competition. Seeing the poster she told herself that this was her chance to prove herself.

She began working tirelessly round the clock day and night on her designs. Her sketches were unique, each piece telling a different but unique story about her personality. She was determined to win the competition.

 

    Finally, the day of the competition arrived. Arriving the venue she saw hundreds of participants coming in for the competition, her heart skipped but her determination got stronger. Her heart pounded as she watched the judges critique her designs. She held her breath, waiting for their verdict. 

The judges were impressed by Amanda's creativity and originality. She won the competition, her designs earning her a scholarship to a well known fashion institute in the country.

 

Her parents, came to witness the event and seeing their beloved daughter success changed their mindset, and they finally acknowledged her talent. They were so proud of her and gave their support, Amanda's heart bloomed with joy cause their support meant the world to her.

A week later she left for the fashion institute, brimming with joy, excitement and fulfillment giving thanks to God. She was ready to learn, grow, and turn her dreams into reality of becoming a renowned and celebrated fashion designer in her country.

 

Amanda worked so hard at the institute, she made friends with her fellow students and tutors, drawing inspiration from everyone and everything one, and her designs drawing attention from professors and students alike. In not so long a while she had become so popular for her unique style and design in the institution.

With so much hard work, dedicated time, determination and of course talent she graduated at the top of her class, her portfolio filled with impressive designs. Her dream of becoming a renowned fashion designer was closer than ever.

 

    After graduation, she interned at a prestigious fashion house. The head designer, Suzanne took a liking to Amanda, her character and her work, she told her that she reminded her of herself when she was younger so Susanne took it upon herself to mentor her specially to help her fulfill her dreams.

Under Susanne's guidance, Amanda honed her skills, her designs becoming more refined and elegant. Her confidence grew stronger and stronger with each passing day.

 

    Amanda's hard work paid off when she was offered a position as a junior designer in a world wide brand labeled fashion company. She was over the moon with so much joy, she thought to herself that her dreams are finally coming to fruition.

 

  Years passed, and Amanda climbed the ranks, her designs all over socal meda, Bill board and covers of fashion magazines. Her parents were so proud of her, She was living her dream, her passion becoming her career.

At 26 she started her own fashion line, her designs reflecting her unique style. With her loving parents by her side she felt so happy and fulfilled, Her dreams and sketches have now turned into reality of stitches of success, her journey was a testament to her perseverance and determination.

 

 Amanda's parents were immensely proud of her. They saw how her determination and passion had led her to success, their doubts replaced with admiration.

  

 Amanda never forgot her humble beginnings. She used her success to inspire young, and aspiring designers, often inviting them to her fashion shows.

She also started a scholarship in her old fashion school, providing talented students with the opportunity to follow their dreams.
